In 2001, a lady named Charlene Campbell began a small bible study at the Dotch Community Center in Trinity Gardens. Her goal was very simple - to share the love of Christ. Each Wednesday, she, with the help of some others, would give a small gospel presentation along with a snack.
About 8 years later, Charlene asked Scott Moore to visit with her and to share about Christ. It didn't take long for him to figure out why Charlene had been faithful all those years. The love, support, and acceptance from the community made it very easy. Scott and his family fell in love with Trinity Gardens.
Trinity Family, however, is not just about Charlene and Scott's story. The love and faithfulness of so many others have made this ministry into what it now is. Workers from the community center have overwhelmed us with their kindness and acceptance. People from the neighborhood have showered us with their love. And families from Grace Community Church have come alongside us to help with this great work.
Advancing the Kingdom of God in Trinity Gardens has, and hopefully always will be, a "family" effort. The love of Christ has brought people from different races, backgrounds and cultures together for this one grand purpose - to be the family of God doing the work of God.
