our beliefs

Trinity Family is a Christian organization. This means that everything we believe and do is centered around faith in Christ, hope for Christ, and through the love that Christ gives and desires us to give to others. The way we love and follow Christ is communicated to us in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. The Scriptures are our final, unquestionalble authority.

Given this, we believe Scripture teaches that God desires to fill the earth with his own glory (Ps. 72), and that he does this by advancing his Kingdom on earth through his church as it lives out and communicates his gospel of grace.

Therefore, Trinity Family operates as the church. It is our goal that we, just like all Christians throughout the world, be a light to those around us. It is our desire that when people see and mention Trinity Family, they do not do so without seeing and mentioning Christ and his church.

Simply put, we are not a charity with the primary goal to serve in the community. Rather, we are a part of Christ's church, with the primary goal to serve with the community, as we all take part in advancing God's Kingdom.

More particularly, we are under the authority of and adhere to the doctrinal commitments of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We believe that being a part of a denomination provides the foundation for safety, loving communication, and gospel-centered unity (even with those who do not belong to the same denomination). It is both important and loving to communicate exactly where we stand on important biblical issues.

The clearest and most exhaustive resource of how we interpret the Scriptures may be found in The Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.
